Mini Bus Shopping Tours Sydney

Sydney is one of the best places to shop in Australia and perhaps the world. If you are a stranger to the city one of the best ways of embarking on a jamboree of shopping with friends is by mini bus with a local driver.

This way it is easy to get in and out of the traffic and to be chauffeured from one area to the next. Also there is plenty of room on board to stow your purchases whilst you visit the next mall or street.

Queen Victoria Building

The magnificent Queen Victoria Building takes up a whole block and boasts nearly 200 shops on five levels. It’s a High Victorian masterpiece, without doubt Sydney’s most beautiful shopping centre.

The shopping experience is medium to high end with many designer label outlets to be found as well giftware, jewellery, homeware and a plethora of restaurants, cafes and tea rooms.

Originally a concert hall, the QVB was also home to coffee shops, offices, showrooms, warehouses and a variety of tradespeople, such as tailors, mercers, hairdressers and florists.

The Strand Arcade

Built in 1891, The Strand Arcade was the fifth and last arcade built in Victorian Sydney, and today it is the only one remaining in its original form. It was also one of the first places in the city to be illuminated by electricity.

The Strand Arcade remains a majestic beauty in the center of the hustle and bustle of Sydney’s CBD. Some retailers such as The Nut Shop, Elie’s Leather Repair and Strand Hatters have traded for decades, becoming well known Sydney institutions. Today, The Strand is a unique mix of Australian designer fashion and speciality stores catering for a discerning, sophisticated clientele.

World Square

Situated right in the middle of the CBD is World Square, it has over 25 million visitors each year. The Square is just a short stroll from Town Hall station, China Town district and other major attractions.

Spanning three levels of an entire city block, World Square offers freshly prepared food, a unique selection of fashion, homewares, lifestyle shopping and services spanning across 90 speciality retailers.

Many visitors come just to eat, and you will be spoilt for choice for your dining options. There is Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Steaks and Grills, Italian and of course a wide choice of fast food outlets.

These three marvellous places offer some of the most interesting and diverse shopping in Sydney, there of course many other boutique and chic outlets and streets dotted about the city just waiting to be explored.
